this is the first time i have tried the deprec gem.
i ran the deprec script to install a ubuntu slice on slicehost, and was
looking though the output.
i noticed that during the gem installation, it picked the fastthread option 2,
which is the mswin option.
i guess that's probably wrong, though I have not actually tried it yet and do
not know what the implications are.
Seems like the ruby version is option 1.
